Last month, a major international fashion platform reached out with an offer to feature my work.

My initial thought was that it had to be a scam. Yet, something about it stayed on my mind, so I looked into it and exchanged a few messages. To my surprise, they turned out to be a prominent and well-established company.

Unfortunately, given my current budget and production capability, preparing in time was simply out of reach. I had no choice but to decline.

I’ve been doing everything by myself for 13 years—designing, producing, wholesaling, and retailing. Out of all those years, receiving this message felt like getting a love letter I’ll never forget. Simply knowing that someone abroad appreciates what I do filled me with warmth and sparked a renewed sense of passion.

"Feel free to contact us whenever you're ready."

I can’t begin to describe how empowering those words were. I had been feeling discouraged by the rising costs of raw materials, so this gave me a much-needed boost.

Slow and steady, I’ll keep moving forward.

先月、海外の大きなファッションのプラットフォームから

出展のオファーをいただいた。

最初は詐欺だと思っていたのだけど、なぜか気になって

やりとりをしてみると名のある会社だった。

結果、今の私には出展できるだけの予算と商品を準備することが

難しく、泣く泣くお断りした。

一人でデザインし、一人で作って、卸と販売。

これを13年続けてきた。

その13年の中でも忘れられないラブレターをいただいた気がした。

国外で認めてくれる人がいる、と知れただけでも心がじんわりして

また頑張ろうと思えた。

「準備ができたらいつでも連絡して」

この一言がどんなにチカラになるか。

原材料の高騰に凹んでいたので新たな原動力になった。
